Kurt Groeneveld - CEO

DipSuper, DipFinServ, BSc, MBT

Kurt founded Supercorp in 1987 after an early career in software consulting and contracting on numerous superannuation projects. As Chairman and CEO Kurt is responsible for all operational aspects of Supercorp’s two primary business units and for the strategic direction of the company as a whole.

With nearly 30 years of experience in both the software and the superannuation industries Kurt has navigated Supercorp through several acquisitions of technology and administration based firms growing it from a small private business into one of Australia’s leading service providers in the Self Managed Superannuation Industry.

Grant Christensen - General Manager (Administration)

MBA (Entrepreneurship)

As General Manager Grant holds the senior executive role within our Administration Company, responsible for all operational aspects of the business. Grant brings to Administration a deep understanding of the Supercorp group, having been General Manager of Services in our Technology business for 5 years where he worked on several cross business initiatives.

Grant recently completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at QUT where he was awarded the Directors Award for academic excellence. Grant has fulfilled a number of leadership and customer service roles in a variety of organisations over the past 18+ years including private companies, government and overseas postings.

Paul Petersen - General Manager (Technology)

Bachelor Of Applied Science in Computing (With Distinction)

Paul Petersen is the General Manager of Technology responsible for the research, design and development of Supercorp Technology’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) / Cloud-based products and integrated software services. During his 5 years at Supercorp, Paul has played a leading role in the development of superMate, the premier Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) administration solution. Paul’s passion and focus is on unifying business innovation and software technology advances to provide new service benefits to the Superannuation Industry.

Paul has over 20 years experience in the IT industry and 15 years within the Financial Services sector leading many successful software initiatives. Paul has local and international experience in senior positions within software development organisations including Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS) and GBST (ASX:GBT). He has frequently worked with global customers, presented and chaired forums at worldwide and regional conferences.

Brad Ackermann - General Manager (Services)

Bachelor Of Information Technology (Information Systems)

Brad is responsible for all the operational and budgeting aspects of the Services team which include areas such as Software Support, Support Programming, Hosting, IT Support and Training.

Starting with Supercorp in 2003 as an Analyst Programmer, Brad has been involved in many successful client projects and more recently has played a leading role in the development of superMate. Brad developed the first prototype, was the Team Leader during the major build project and was the superMate Product Manager since the launch in 2009. During his time at Supercorp, Brad has won 5 Leadership awards and one CEO award. Prior to working at Supercorp, Brad was developing finance and insurance systems for a Brisbane based software company.

Kathy Hurford - General Manager (Professional Services)

BSc (Computing)

Kathy is General Manager - Professional Services and Planning. In this role, Kathy holds responsibility for delivery of projects and consulting services with a strong focus on quality, customer satisfaction and achieving mutually beneficial business outcomes.

Kathy’s experience has been gained is with leading global consulting organisations, PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM, delivering large scale technology projects for blue-chip clients. She has a proven track record of successful delivery, keeping complex projects on track using a professional and pragmatic approach. Kathy has a strong customer orientation, demonstrating understanding of the business issues involved in the provision of IT solutions. Her experience extends across many industry sectors and she has worked on projects within Australia and internationally, as well as global implementation projects.

David Mendelovits - National Sales Manager

BEcon, DipMan, MA (Bank Management), PS146 Certified

The role of sales in any organisation is a demanding one. David and his team are charged with the dual responsibilities of identifying prospective clients and gaining their confidence that the Supercorp service offering is superior to that of our competitors.

David, who is based in Melbourne, is well equipped to do both. Prior to joining us in 2005, David had a long and successful sales career working with IT software and services providers to the financial services industry. He spent 18 years with IBM in Melbourne and Tokyo, working primarily with banks, followed by 5 years with CSC in Singapore where he worked with South East Asian insurance and financial services organisations.

With a dedication to creating solutions to best meet a client's needs, David works to achieve long-term partnerships which will provide value for both the client and Supercorp.

Lynne Fuller - Company Secretary

Bachelor of Business - Accounting, CPA

Lynne is responsible for the financial administration of the Supercorp Group and relevant reporting to senior management and the board of directors. Her role also involves management of the annual audit and statutory compliance.

Lynne has had over 30 years accounting experience in a variety of organisations ranging in size from BHP Billiton to small business in both Australia and overseas. Since joining Supercorp in 2005 she has successfully integrated the finance function of two companies and two business units acquired by the Group. Lynne also managed the transition to the company’s current accounting software system required subsequent to Supercorp’s continued growth.

Paul Scully - Director (yourSMSF)

BBus (Acc), DipSuper, DipFinServ, FTIA, FNTAA, Specialist SMSF Advisor

Paul’s professional qualifications are a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy from QUT, a Diploma of Superannuation Management from Macquarie University and a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning). He also has a Specialist SMSF Advisor qualification from SPAA and is a nominee for Supercorp’s tax agent registration.

His career started in the Tax Office in 1974. After completing his tertiary studies in 1980, he moved through various technical areas of the ATO until he became Manager of the Brisbane Superannuation division, supervising 12 staff. He left the ATO in 1985 and worked in several superannuation firms before starting Proven Super in 1988. Proven Super was sold to Supercorp in 2005.

Nici Bickley - Group Product Advocate

DipSuper, BSc (Pure Mathematics), DipEdu (Mathematics and Computing)

As Group Product Advocate Nici’s aim is to assist new superMate clients to exploit its features so as to achieve the greatest possible value for their businesses. Her role helps to overcome the problem that many companies experience when they install new software but then do not have the time or knowledge to get full value from it.

With over 15 years in the superannuation industry and a key architect of superMate since its inception, Nici’s ability to maximise the software’s value is based on her extensive knowledge of superMate, the SMSF administration business and years of experience in software and integration.

Josie McKinnon – Group HR Manager/EPA

Foundations of Human Resources, Certificate in Superannuation Management

Josie is Group HR Manager and EPA to the CEO. Josie is responsible for all facets of recruitment and human resources within the Supercorp Group. Additionally Josie is responsible for the groups corporate activities including the organisation of Board meetings, event planning, policy and procedure development.

Josie has been a senior member of the Supercorp Group since joining the company in 1998. Prior to working at Supercorp Josie was PA to Managing Directors in other large companies in the financial and retail industries. This past experience has seen Josie contribute to the on-going growth and development of the company by supporting the CEO and senior management team. Josie has completed her Certificate in Foundations of Human Resources and has attended to her specific industry knowledge by completing the Certificate in Superannuation Management.
